How the brake chamber works

In the air chamber industry, the function of the brake air chamber is to convert the pressure of the compressed air from the brake valve into the mechanical force of the brake air chamber push rod. Shandong Fupingshun Auto Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a modern-scale production enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales and service. It specializes in the production of T30/30 air chambers for various semi-trailers and medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Dynamic air chamber, T30 single-chamber brake air chamber, brake wheel cylinder.
Commonly used brake chambers are diaphragm type and piston type. The pneumatic brake air chamber is generally composed of a brake chamber shell and a cover, which are connected together with a clamp. There is a brake chamber diaphragm between the shell and the cover. When it is in a free state, the diaphragm and the cover are tightly attached. The other side of the diaphragm is in contact with the disc of the push rod, and the other end of the push rod has a connecting fork for connecting the adjusting arm of the brake cam.
When the brake pedal is stepped on, the compressed air enters the brake chamber, deforms the diaphragm under the action of air pressure, pushes the push rod, and drives the adjustment arm, and turns the brake cam to press the shoe against the brake drum to generate a brake action. When the brake pedal is released, the air in the brake air chamber is discharged into the atmosphere through the exhaust port of the brake valve, and the push rod and the diaphragm return to the position under the action of the diaphragm spring to release the brake.
